Put your business in front of people who are already browsing, and give them a clear next step: visit your site, message you, or buy. Choose the placement that fits the result you want:

• Boost Post (Feed): Promoted posts in the main feed that send people to your page, product or offer (MVR 15/day).
• Boost Page: Promotes your business page as a compact card in the feed, using your existing logo and details (MVR 10/day).
• Premium Banner: High-visibility placements on the desktop sidebar and mobile top bar, sold in fixed durations with bulk discounts.

How delivery works

Every live campaign in a placement gets an equal turn. We do not run an auction, and a higher price never buys a larger share. Longer campaigns run for more days — they do not take rotation share from anyone else. If more campaigns are live in the same placement, each one gets a smaller but equal slice of that placement.

The ad builder shows an Estimated daily impressions figure based on recent traffic in your placement divided by the number of live ads. It is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed volume. Report cards show impressions (each display, not unique people), link clicks and cost per result. Results are clicks to your website; sales and conversions happen on your own site, where you can measure them.

• Editing paid ads: start dates are locked and you can only ever increase your duration — no shortening or refunds on live campaigns.

How it works

A verified badge tells our community that your business is authentic and trustworthy. Getting one is simple:

• Verify your own identity first: You must have your personal account identity-verified (the grey Verified badge) before you can verify a business page. The National ID you submit for the business must be in the name of the identity-verified account holder. If your identity is not verified yet, opening the business verification form takes you to your profile's Identity Verification section — see Verifying Your Personal Identity.
• Complete Your Profile: Ensure your business name, logo, and contact details are fully updated.
• Set your legal setup: Choose Sole Proprietorship (SP) or Company in your business settings.
• Submit Documents: From your business settings, open the verification page and upload your required documents.
• Review Process: Our team reviews your submission. Once approved, the verified badge appears next to your business name.

1. Before you start

• Your own account must be identity-verified (grey Verified badge). Complete this first in your profile's Settings → Identity Verification.
• You must be the owner or a shareholder of the business, and the National ID you upload must be in the same name as your verified Island Index account.

2. Required Documents

You must upload the following two documents with your verification request.

• Business Profile — downloaded from the Economic Ministry portal.
• National ID card — the owner's, or for a Company, the ID card of one of the shareholders.

The person who submits the request must be an owner or a shareholder of the business, and the ID card must be in their own name — matching the name on their Island Index profile. A Company's ID must belong to one of its shareholders; a Sole Proprietorship's ID must belong to the owner.

3. Document Guidelines

• Documents must be in PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
• Each file must be 5MB or smaller.
• All documents must be clear, legible, and unedited.

4. Review Process

• The verified blue badge is issued after our team approves your submission.
• Review normally takes up to 48 hours.
• We may reject a request if documents are missing, unclear, or mismatched with your page details.
• You will be notified of the outcome in your notifications.

5. Acceptable Use

• By submitting a request, you agree to the following terms. Verification is reserved for legitimate businesses and must reflect the entity that owns or operates the page.
• Misrepresentation, forged documents, or attempts to verify a page you do not own may result in rejection and/or account action.
• We may revoke a verified badge if your business no longer qualifies.

Verified Gold

Some pages carry a gold verified badge instead of the familiar blue one. This is our highest trust tier and the strongest signal of authenticity on Island Index.

• Reserved tier: Verified Gold is reserved for corporations and established businesses that we have manually verified extensively.
• Extensive checks: Beyond the standard documents, these pages are reviewed in depth for authenticity, ownership, and business track record.
• Personal recommendation: Because the trust level for these pages is very high, our platform gives them a personal recommendation across the site.
• Granted at our discretion: Verified Gold cannot be requested through the form above and only our team can award or remove it. If we believe your business qualifies, we will reach out to you directly.

Starting a business on Island Index is free and takes less than a minute.

• Open Profile Menu: Click on your profile at the bottom left of the sidebar.
• Click 'Add New Page': Select the option to create a new business page.
• Enter Details: Provide your business name, a unique username, and choose your business type.
• Publish: Once created, you can start posting your products and services immediately.

Keeping your profile up to date helps other users and businesses find you.

• Go to Settings: Click on your profile name in the sidebar and select 'Settings'.
• Edit Info: You can change your name, email, and location.
• Update Photo: Click on your profile picture to upload a new one.
• Save: Don't forget to click 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the page.

You can verify your own account with a grey Verified badge by confirming your identity. This is separate from a business page's badge and applies to you as a person.

Required for business verification: your identity must be verified before you can request a verified badge for a business page you own. Until it is, the business verification form will send you here. See Getting Verified.

• Go to Settings: Open your profile, then the Settings tab, and choose Identity Verification.
• Upload your ID: Provide a clear photo of the front of your National ID (JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF, up to 4 MB).
• Face scan: Complete a short face-scan so we can confirm the ID belongs to you. Your browser will ask for camera access.
• Review: Our team checks your submission by hand. Once approved, the grey badge appears next to your name on your account.
• Privacy: Your document and face scan are stored privately, seen only by our reviewers, and permanently deleted 30 days after the decision.

Protecting your account is our top priority. We recommend following these best practices:

• Strong Password: Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Two-Factor Auth: Enable 2FA in your settings for an extra layer of protection.
• Monitor Activity: Regularly check your 'Connected Devices' in settings to see where you are logged in.

In short: we collect what you give us (account and profile details, content you post, verification documents, and booking or advertising records) plus the technical data needed to run and secure the site. We use automated services to check your post text and images before they are published. We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics.

We do not use advertising or analytics networks, and no third party sets tracking cookies while you simply browse. Two third-party connections do exist and are described in full: the Inter font is loaded from Google's servers, and Google sign-in contacts Google only when you choose to use it.

Island Index can be installed on your phone or computer just like a native app — no app store required. Once installed, it opens in its own window and gets a home-screen icon for quick access.

Android (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet)

• Open islandindex.mv in your browser and sign in.
• If you see an Install button in the banner at the bottom of the screen, tap it.
• Otherwise, open the browser menu () and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
• Confirm, and the Island Index icon appears on your home screen.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

• Open islandindex.mv in Safari and sign in.
• Tap the Share button ().
• Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
• Tap Add. The Island Index icon is now on your home screen.

Desktop (Chrome, Edge)

• Look for the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install Island Index.

You can also install from your account settings when an Install app button is shown. To remove it later, uninstall it just like any other app on your device.
